Despite significant progress in research and treatment, breast cancer still claims tens of thousands of lives each year. Early detection saves lives — yet many patients encounter financial barriers that prevent access to the diagnostic and supplemental imaging that can make all the difference.
Screening Saves Lives: Closing the Gap in Breast Cancer Care will bring together lawmakers, clinicians, advocates, and patients for a timely conversation on advancing equitable access. The discussion will highlight the Access to Breast Cancer Diagnosis (ABCD) Act, which aims to remove cost-sharing for diagnostic breast imaging and ensure patients can follow up on abnormal results without the burden of financial hardship.
In support of raising awareness around breast cancer access and early detection, in-person attendees will receive a $25 uber voucher. |
