2020 Dems sprint toward critical FEC deadline
Democratic presidential hopefuls are barreling toward a critical quarterly fundraising deadline on Sunday that will offer one of the clearest signs to date of viability in a sprawling primary field.

With more than 15 candidates seeking the party’s presidential nomination and grassroots fundraising being used as one of two factors in determining who will make it to the primary debates, the Federal Election Commission (FEC) deadline is likely to carry even more weight this year.

Allegations test Biden ahead of 2020 run
Former Vice President Joe Biden, accused of inappropriately touching and kissing a former Nevada lawmaker in 2014, is facing his own #MeToo moment ahead of a likely 2020 run.

After the ex-state official, Democrat Lucy Flores, came forward with the allegations on Friday, a number of Democrats raised concerns about Biden's campaign on the Sunday shows circuit, with many saying they believe her accusation.

Biden accuser Flores: 'I want him to acknowledge this was wrong'

Lucy Flores, a former Nevada state assemblywoman who has accused Joe Biden of inappropriately kissing her in 2014, said Sunday that she wants the former vice president "to acknowledge this was wrong."

"I'm glad that he's willing to listen," she told CNN's "State of the Union" minutes after Biden released a statement saying he does not believe he has ever acted "inappropriately" but "will listen respectfully" to his accuser.
