Eleven dead, gunman killed in Virginia Beach shooting
Eleven people were killed and six were injured in a shooting Friday afternoon at the Virginia Beach Municipal Center. The suspected gunman was also killed.

Virginia Beach Police Chief James Cervara said the shooter was a "longtime employee of public utilities" and at around 4:00 p.m. “began to indiscriminately fire upon all the victims.”

Trump antagonizes both parties on trade
President Trump is facing fire from all sides following his decision to impose new tariffs on exports from Mexico unless that country curbs illegal immigration into the United States.

Republicans caught off guard by the surprise move said it went beyond Trump’s authority and warned it would imperil the new U.S.-Mexico-Canada Free Trade Agreement that the White House is pressing Congress to approve.

Poll: Majority oppose Trump impeachment, but most Democrats support it
A majority of voters oppose impeaching and removing President Trump but a strong majority of Democrats are in favor of doing so, according to the latest Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey.

The survey found that a plurality of voters, 43 percent, favor no action against the president, including 44 percent of independents.

The new poll, which was conducted after special counsel Robert Mueller’s statement on Wednesday, has several other warning signs for Democrats agitating to begin impeachment proceedings against Trump.
