| | | | | View in your browser | | |  | | | | | | Trump to support path to citizenship for 1.8 million Dreamers | The White House immigration plan would allow as many as 1.8 million young immigrants to seek U.S. citizenship in exchange for billions of dollars for President Trump’s border wall and sweeping changes to the legal immigration system, senior administration officials said Thursday.
The White House is urging the Senate to draw up legislation based on the plan and introduce it the week Feb. 5, just days before the government funding is set to expire, though officials said they do not have an assurance it will be brought up.
