HAPPENING NOW

Back to the drawing board:

The Senate is back in session and working to pass a coronavirus stimulus package. It's pretty tense right now.

Livestream of the debate: https://cs.pn/39gSBE6

What's happening right now: "So, a bit of scheduling confusion on the Senate right now. The Senate will allow up to one hour of debate (equally divided) before reconsidering the cloture vote that failed last night." (Via Fox News Radio's Jared Halpern) https://bit.ly/2vFvCEW

This morning --Dems blocked a vote: "Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) blocked Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's (R-Ky.) attempt to set up a Monday morning vote on the stimulus package, effectively delaying the vote until the afternoon." https://bit.ly/2vIDy8B

JUST NOW -- MITCH MCCONNELL IN A HEATED FLOOR SPEECH:

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) just tore into Democrats as economic stimulus negotiations continue. The highlights: https://bit.ly/2JbADIu

In McConnell's words: "Yesterday when the time came to vote on these urgent measures, our Democratic colleagues chose to block it. So why are the American people still waiting? It's a good question to ask. I hear the markets are not doing well today." https://bit.ly/2xkQwJU

McConnell then added: "We're going to a vote in just a few minutes. I assure you the American people will be watching."

FOLLOWED BY CHUCK SCHUMER'S REMARKS:

"We hope and expect to conclude negotiations today," Schumer said. https://bit.ly/2J9HJNH

"The upcoming procedural votes are essentially irrelevant." https://bit.ly/2J7KrTV

WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT:

Senate Democrats voted in unison to block a coronavirus stimulus package because they argue it included several "non-starters." Democrats say the bill needs to do more on sick leave and expanding unemployment insurance. https://bit.ly/2vHTzLU

The vote: 47-47. Five GOP senators are in quarantine.

McAdams on what it feels like: "I'm feeling about as sick as I've been," he told CNN. "I got really labored breathing. I feel like I have a belt around my chest, really tight. When I cough, my muscles are so sore so I just feel pain every time I cough, which is frequently. I feel short of breath, and I have a fever of about 102.
