Meet Hollywood’s Go-to Astrologer

Over the years, the astrologist Karen Thorne has had a number of unusual requests. She told VF's Elise Taylor about a client who wanted to know how her horses—yes, horses—were doing while they were away at another ranch. Another client was seeking business advice, so Thorne determined the company's birth sign and read its chart. Some of Thorne's stories sound a little too wild to be true—like the time she says she warned the Secret Service about a certain date in the '90s that turned out to be the day Frank Eugene Corder crashed a Cessna 150 onto the South Lawn of the White House—but her reputation has brought her one famous client after another.

Speaking of reputations, Candace Owens has used hers to spread a different kind of message to her many followers in the last month, disseminating misinformation through her YouTube channel about Charlie Kirk's death. On Monday, she had a lengthy conversation with Erika Kirk, which "looked like a sign that Owens might ease off the conspiracies," VF's Erin Vanderhoof writes, but that feeling was short-lived after Owens recapped the conversation during a livestream on Tuesday. I guess some signs are more reliable than others.
