Agreement reached with Trump on young immigrants, Dems say

President Trump and Democratic leaders in Congress agreed to work toward a deal that would protect young undocumented immigrants from deportation in exchange for new border security measures, the lawmakers said Wednesday.

Trump: No deal on DACA

President Trump early Thursday pushed back on a statement by Democratic leaders in Congress, saying there is no deal to protect young immigrants.

“No deal was made last night on DACA,” he said on Twitter, referring to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

“Massive border security would have to be agreed to in exchange for consent. Would be subject to vote,” he added.
