The Hill's Whip List: GOP appears to have votes for tax bill
Republicans in the House are set to vote Thursday on sweeping tax-reform legislation, and appear to have the support to win approval of the measure.

President Trump will visit House Republicans in the morning to rally them ahead of the big vote.

The bill would slash the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 20 percent, and reduce tax rates for the middle class.

It would also eliminate that state and local sales and income tax deduction, and limit the property tax deduction to $10,000.

That has led to defections from some Republicans representing areas with high local taxes, primarily New York, New Jersey and California.

If the House does pass its measure, it will still need to be reconciled with separate legislation in the Senate before it can get to Trump's desk.

Here's a look at where Republicans stand on the bill.
