Biden under fire for talking of 'civility' with segregationist senators
Former Vice President Joe Biden came under fire on Wednesday after invoking his working relationships with two segregationist senators in the 1970s as an example of bygone “civility” in the Senate.

Three of Biden’s rivals in the Democratic presidential field, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) and former Rep. John Delaney (D-Md.), laid into him for mentioning Sens. James Eastland (D-Miss.) and Herman Talmadge (D-Ga.) during a speech at a fundraiser on Tuesday night.
