The Senate passed a stop-gap spending bill on Thursday, days before the deadline to prevent a government shutdown. Lawmakers had until Monday night to prevent the second funding lapse of the year.
The CR, which passed the House last week, now heads to President Trump’s desk, where White House officials have said they expect him to sign it.
