There was no traditional red-carpet welcome in Cape Town, and the message is clear: "We are here to work, this is not a holiday."
The couple specifically asked to see townships and other places in Cape Town that tourists rarely go.
In Nyanga, the duke and duchess spent an hour with a group of community women and talked about their passion for raising awareness about gender-based violence—and Meghan showed off her skills.
Meghan and Harry learned about the history of apartheid, but they also chatted with artists and got the opportunity to indulge in the local delicacies.
At Monwabisi Beach on Tuesday, the couple participated in a group-bonding activity and learned about some of the charities their Instagram already helped fund. Plus: Meghan talks about mental health and a global "consciousness crisis."
Harry commented on Archie's travel skills during a tea party in Cape Town.
