Honolulu officials are moving forward with plans to dismantle the steps of an illegal tourist attraction that draws thousands of visitors each year. The steel structure, made up of nearly 4,000 steps, spans along Oahu’s Ko’olau mountain range and was built by the U.S. Navy in the 1940s.
An industry-leading company in pest, termite, mosquito and bed bug control services has concluded which major cities have the most bed bugs. “Bed bugs go where people go, so they can be virtually anywhere,” one expert said.
The Osage Nation called the sale of a Missouri cave filled with Native American artwork from over 1,000 years ago “truly heartbreaking.” The leaders had hoped to purchase the cave and land to protect and preserve the sacred site: “Our ancestors lived in this area for 1,300 years. This was our land."
