Thursday, December 2 According to the CDC, over 700 women die of pregnancy complications each year. Nearly two thirds of these deaths are preventable. In the United States today maternal mortality rates are moving in the wrong direction, and disparities run rampant, with Black women being up to three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than White women.
