President Trump and his Sharpie are at it again. Now he wants to kill off PBS and NPR. Last month, the White House said the public broadcasters have "zero tolerance for non-leftist viewpoints," which is funny because my dad said he heard a perfectly respectful interview with a GOP congressman on NPR just this morning. I guess when you're to the right of Mussolini, everything starts to look left wing. In other news, the Met Gala is Monday. Let our experts help you count down in style. |
In the opening of the 2014 short film The Gentleman's Wager, Jude Law and Giancarlo Giannini sit beside one another, each clad in soft white pants and sunglasses, on the sundeck of an exquisite sailboat. "I want this boat," Law says. Giannini gives him a wry look. "Built in 1928, designed by the Baglietto yard," he replies as the sea glitters cerulean behind him. "Nothing like it in the world. As for what the Trump State Department is asking of potential participants, Nate has more on the MAGA-fied fine print. |
