Washington state will ask a federal judge to block President Donald Trump's new travel ban, joining Hawaii as the second state to challenge the ban.
The state's attorney general, Bob Ferguson, says that despite the significant changes to the President's previous executive order, the new travel ban still suffers from legal flaws.
Trump on Monday signed a new executive order banning foreign nationals from six Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States for 90 days and banning all refugees for 120 days. The order excluded green card holders and those with existing valid visas.
A federal judge in Hawaii has agreed to hear a separate legal challenge on March 15 -- just hours before the ban is to go into effect.
