A gunman opened fire inside a New York City hospital Friday, killing a woman and wounding several people before killing himself, according to law enforcement officials. The suspect was identified as a former doctor at the hospital.
The gunman, who was wearing a white lab coat and had ID on him, shot himself on the 16th floor of Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, according to law enforcement officials. The body of a woman who was shot was found near his body, the officials said.
Five other people were injured in the shooting. Three of those are in serious condition from gunshot wounds, a law enforcement source said.
