Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) on Sunday argued that the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) warrants to monitor former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page were justified.
"If the dossier is the reason you issued the warrant, it was a bunch of garbage," Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said. "The dossier has proven to be a bunch of garbage."
Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) tore into the Justice Department on Sunday for failing to disclose in a clandestine surveillance warrant application that a controversial opposition research dossier detailing salacious allegations against President Trump was funded in part by political opponents.

Former Obama administration official Susan Rice said Sunday that President Trump's rhetoric and actions toward Russia raise questions about his motivations, particularly in the wake of his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“You can speak to adversaries, but at the end of the day, you have to do it in a way in which you challenge them," Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) said on Sunday. "The president seems to want to be chummy with Putin instead of challenging him.”

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) hit President Trump for appearing to change his stance on issues like Russia, saying it’s "hard to comment on anything that Trump says because he could change his mind tomorrow."
"It's so personal. So unbecoming of a president of the United States to engage in that ... it shows fear or something, I don't know," the former secretary of State said on CBS's "Face the Nation."
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) advised first-time House candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Sunday to keep doing what she's doing, praising her grassroots campaign that led to her victory over long-time incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley (R-N.Y.) last month.
Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) said Sunday he has no intention of challenging House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for party leadership, but reiterated his calls for a fresh direction for the Democratic Party.
