Israel prepares to attack |
Iran is closer than ever to being able to produce full-scale atomic weapons, writes national security columnist Mark Toth. And "there is a growing sense in Israel that Jerusalem is quickly running out of time to prevent Iran from becoming a regional nuclear power." |
Israel has destroyed other countries' nuclear facilities before. But Iran has "at least seven major known Iranian nuclear sites spanning the country," which "would have to be struck by the Israeli Air Force to sufficiently degrade Iran's capacity to build and launch nuclear weapons." Meanwhile, U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan is still preaching deterrence and diplomacy. But, says Toth, "If Iran has unlocked the gates to Armageddon, then diplomacy, no matter how hard Sullivan may push for it, is rapidly running out of time, if not on empty." Toth believes stronger, more decisive military measures are increasingly becoming the only viable option. Israel seems ready to attack, and if it does, Iranian-backed groups across the Middle East "would immediately launch reprisal missile and rocket attacks on Israel." For now, Toth believes only one thing is certain. "Tehran has inserted the nuclear key into the gate lock of Armageddon and is beginning to twist it open." Read the op-ed at TheHill.com. |

There has probably never before been a presidential candidate who has been so pummeled and bruised before even stepping into the ring. DeSantis has taken it on the chin not only from Trump but also from Democrats. | | |

In the current environment, President Biden, who for most of his career could be described as the type of moderate institutionalist millennials admire, finds himself in a constant battle between his personal predisposition toward established institutions and his political base, which is desperate for a progressive tearing down of the establishment that most millennials won't embrace. |

Kissinger's fame has always reflected his image as the learned, heavily accented, historically aware European, teaching to naïve America the harsh and inescapable rules of world politics. |
