It's the 14th of her career and extends her own record for the most world titles for any gymnast in history ... US sanctions on Iran's oil industry are set to kick back in Monday. They're expected to deal another blow to an economy already reeling after President Donald Trump rejected the Obama-era nuclear deal. The sanctions effectively ban Iran from selling its oil on the world market. Trump has said he expects all countries to quit importing oil from Iran or face US sanctions, though experts say that's not realistic. The administration already has said it's granting temporary waivers to eight "jurisdictions" from energy-related sanctions.

Jury selection is due to start Monday in the federal trial of Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman. The drug kingpin was extradited last year to New York after he escaped from a Mexican prison. He's pleaded not guilty to a 17-count indictment that accuses him of heading a criminal enterprise that imported and distributed hundreds of tons of narcotics and conspiring to murder rivals.

After all the rallies, robocalls and radio ads, Tuesday is Election Day. The midterms, while perhaps not as energizing as a presidential election, are critical. US House and Senate races -- plus key contests for governor -- could help change the direction of the country and signal a realignment of politics. In light of recent hate-filled events, Trump's rhetoric is up for judgment, along with the approach he has taken to health care, the economy and immigration. Be sure to vote, then tune into CNN and CNN.com for the latest on who won where and what it means.

Attorneys for the American Civil Liberties Union and federal government are due to submit another update Thursday on efforts to reunify undocumented immigrant families separated under the now-reversed Trump administration border policy. Some 220 children from separated families remain in custody four months after a court ordered their reunification. The federal judge overseeing the process has said he hopes it will come to a close by Friday.
