Senate Republicans are staring down a now-or-never situation over whether to endorse former President Trump. With the New Hampshire primary fast approaching, those who have held off have a shrinking window to make their endorsement count — and get into Trump's good graces — before the former president potentially runs away with the GOP nod for good. |

Scott (R-S.C.) formally endorsed former President Trump for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination during a rally Friday, saying "we need a president who will unite our country." Former President Trump on Friday threw cold water on the idea of picking former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley as a running mate, hours after she herself appeared to nix the idea of joining his ticket. "She is OK, but she is not presidential timber. And when I say that, that probably means she is not going to be chosen as the vice president," Trump, who is the dominant front-runner for the GOP nomination, said at a rally in Concord, N.H., drawing applause from the crowd. |

Former President Trump took a swing at New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (R) during a rally in Granite State Friday, claiming he "didn't have the guts" to run for president. "You have a governor, who… honestly, he's terrible, this guy. I watch him, he's all over the place," Trump told the crowd in Concord, N.H. "You know, he ran for president, you know that, he didn't announce it 'cause he didn't have the guts, right?'" |

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu implied Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) should have endorsed former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley because she gave him his job. "Tim Scott wouldn't have a job without Nikki Haley," he told Fox News's Martha MacCallum on Friday. "Nobody cares what Tim Scott thinks... If they did, he actually wouldn't have been driven out of this race three months ago." |

Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley called out rival former President Trump for peddling a false claim about the New Hampshire GOP primary happening next week. Haley bucked the GOP front-runner's argument on Truth Social Friday that Democrats would be able to vote in the state's primary. |

| Democrats are looking to repeat what abortion politics did for them in the 2022 midterms by appealing to a large swath of voters who think overturning Roe v. Wade went too far. President Biden's party achieved better-than-expected results in the midterms in large part because voters came out to elect Democrats to restore federal reproductive rights. They hope it's still an issue that's top of mind for voters. |

A special prosecutor in former President Trump's Georgia criminal case paid for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) to accompany him on flights to San Francisco and Miami as the office investigated Trump, the prosecutor's wife alleged in their ongoing divorce case on Friday. The documents include bank statements that appear to show special prosecutor Nathan Wade's purchases of multiple flights for him and Willis in the months before they charged Trump, his fourth indictment. An attorney for Wade's wife accused the duo of being in a romantic relationship. |

OPINION | Today, the biggest challenge standing between us and the benefits of artificial intelligence is AI backlash. In the year since ChatGPT's release, both AI's capabilities and skepticism have only expanded. According to a September Gallup poll, only 10 percent of Americans believe AI does more good than harm. Ten percent. This remarkable statistic suggests the backlash has barely begun. Few see AI's promise, and many won't flinch at regulating it with a harsh cudgel. |

OPINION | Early in 2024, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments concerning some of the most historic, consequential cases — politically and legally— in our nation's history, including Colorado's decision to exclude Donald Trump from this year's presidential ballots. The court will also hear cases concerning further restricting access to reproductive health care, the role and authorities of federal agencies, and the regulation of social media. And, not to mention, the court may hear Donald Trump's claim that a president is totally immune from any criminal accountability. |
