One of the most delightful perks of editing Marisa Meltzer is the day she returns from reporting, when I'll often find beauty products waiting for me on my desk (lipsticks and liners and eyebrow pencils and tinted moisturizers). So when we were planning her assignments for men's fashion week in Paris earlier this year, and she asked me if she could bring me back anything from the superior French pharmacies, I jumped at the chance to describe all my skin issues and wait for Marisa and the pharmacist to conspire for my good! I'd soon learn that she'd been doing this for years, and the people in her life have come to depend on her French Santa drops. Read her story about why those products really are so much better than what's on offer here in the States.
And if you're already in the know, slather on all your fancy skin care, find a comfy spot, and read Marisa's other great story this week, where she spoke to the Belgian designers of the Antwerp Six, about their legacies and relationships ahead of the 40th anniversary exhibit opening in Belgium this weekend. And stay for Chris Murphy's exclusive interview with the executive producers of FX's Love Story, where they unpack the emotional finale episode. | ADRIENNE GREEN, EXECUTIVE EDITOR | For the Spring 2026 issue, senior staff writer Marisa Meltzer divulges on 20 years of stockpiling products that feel, smell, and work better than their American counterparts and doling them out to the underserved masses (her friends and colleagues). |
