Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law, is traveling with Joint Chiefs Chairman Joseph Dunford, the source said.
The official would not provide more details about Kushner's itinerary while in Iraq.
Kushner is expected to have a major role in the meetings later this week between President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
