November will mark the first presidential election since the overturning of Roe v. Wade, posing the biggest test yet over the impact that women's reproductive health will have up and down the ballot.
Democrats rode anger about the overturning of Roe, which legalized abortion at the federal level, to a surprise victory during the 2022 midterm elections. And the party has racked up more wins in competitive races since then, with their success in large part attributed to the lingering power of the issue. |

Senate Democrats concede there is considerable risk to doing away with the filibuster to codify abortion rights, but also suggest they are likely to try to do so if they get the chance in 2025.
The risk is that once an exception is made for abortion rights, exceptions will be made by a future Republican Senate on a host of issues. |

Former President Trump slammed Fox News in front of a crowd of supporters at a rally in Wisconsin on Saturday, ripping the news outlet for airing Vice President Harris's remarks after visiting part of the southern border in Arizona on Friday. "I have to sit there and listen to her bull—- last night. And who puts it on? Fox News, and they shouldn't be allowed to put it on," Trump said, adding that everything Harris said "is a lie." |

OPINION | The European Union continues to spread its regulatory tentacles across the Atlantic in an effort to hobble U.S. leadership in digital technology and artificial intelligence. Eurocrats have even set up shop in Silicon Valley to harass American tech firms. If this effort goes unchecked, it will undermine America's current lead in AI and be a gift to China, which is advancing its computational capabilities rapidly. In 2022, the EU announced the opening of a new San Francisco office to push American tech companies to fall in line with the growing array of tech diktats being issued by Brussels. The EU joins a growing list of European countries who have established "tech embassies" in Silicon Valley to directly pressure America firms to accede to their extraterritorial demands. |

OPINION | In September of 1962, John F. Kennedy famously told Americans, "We choose to go to the Moon." Former President Donald Trump recently echoed this sentiment with "Elon, get those rocket ships going because we want to reach Mars." Trump has often talked about reaching Mars. We find his new challenge to be a continuation of the fruitful space initiatives of his first administration, complementary to the bold return to the moon under Artemis. |
