Plus: What Do We Want From a 'Glee' Reboot?

October 25, 2026

I’m coming to you today from a deeply red state, where every word from Clara Molot’s recent report on the mysteries of “Mar-a-Lago face” haunts me. When I read it from the lounge at SFO, I wasn’t so sure that its premise—that the Brazilesque plastic surgery aesthetic of many conservative women is a feature, not a bug—held water. But after landing in the middle of the country, I see its truth everywhere I look. So will you, after you read Clara’s story.

If that doesn’t chill you enough (we are six days from Halloween, after all), allow me to direct you to Savannah Walsh’s interview with the filmmakers behind Swipe Right on the Devil. Unlike so many true crime properties these days, the new Hulu docuseries about a catfishing coven leader lives up to its wild title, as you’ll see in her report.

Before I send you off to stockpile candy and decorate the stoop, a few more jump scares: Are you as afraid of a Glee reboot as Chris Murphy is? Has War’s glossy depiction of divorce made you fear for your prenup (or lack thereof)? And, finally, does Taylor Swift’s 20th anniversary make you feel terrifyingly old? Keep scrolling to answer those petrifying questions.
