President Trump on Thursday signed two executive orders again aimed at restricting birthright citizenship, an apparent attempt to circumvent a recent Supreme Court ruling that upheld the constitutional protection.
In late June, the Supreme Court struck down Trump’s Day 1 executive order that sought to end automatic birthright citizenship for all children born on U.S. soil, holding it violated the 14th Amendment.
