View Online Technology Technology The Big Story  Debate over AI regulation pushed past midterms The debate over how to regulate artificial intelligence is being pushed past the November midterms, much to the dismay of some lawmakers. © Mariam Zuhaib, Associated Press Our colleague Sudiksha Kochi's latest Insider piece breaks down the flurry of last-minute proposals in Congress and the obstacles they will face in the lame-duck session.    The House has already left town ahead of the elections, while the Senate faces a crowded agenda for its final week in session before a monthlong recess.   This leaves little time to tackle AI despite rising concerns about the technology, with both Democrats and Republicans arguing that Congress needs to move faster.   But GOP leaders have warned against establishing regulations that could stifle innovation or undercut America's lead over China.   Kochi caught up with Rep.
